Review & Comparison Policy
Decision frameworks, evaluation criteria, and clear evidence limitations.
Evidence Limitation Disclosure
Evaluations on Pan & Pocket are based on structured specification research and comparative design analysis. We do not conduct destructive mechanical laboratory tests or accelerated environmental aging trials. Specifications reflect published seller data, design blueprints, and verified structural layouts rather than long-term wear metrics.
Core Comparison Criteria
Portable painting setups require deliberate tradeoffs between pocketability and working area. Every review evaluates four functional axes:
- Form Factor Profile
- Compares thin pocket tins against zippered pouches to determine true pocket fit versus daypack requirements.
- Fluid Management
- Evaluates integrated reservoir brush valves against standalone mini water flasks regarding carry weight and leak risks.
- Pan Modularity
- Distinguishes removable standard half-pan clips from molded-in wells that lock the painter into factory colors.
- Mixing Geometry
- Measures practical surface square centimeters across folding flaps and slide-out trays, noting slant barriers.
